Frequently asked questions

What are CrypTok Sentinels?

CrypTok Sentinels are 1,000 Generation-1 NFTs on Solana. Each one is a 1-of-1 guardian generated procedurally from its token number, with its own art, a rarity tier from Common to Mythic, one of 8 classes, one of 8 elements and six battle stats, and every Sentinel can fight in the CrypTok Sentinel Arena.

Are Sentinels free? How do I get one?

Yes, claiming a Sentinel is free. Create a CrypTok account, verify a Solana wallet, and claim a random Sentinel at cryptok.me/nfts. Each account can claim up to 3. You can also preview unlimited designs in the Forge by typing any word as a seed.

How do Sentinel battles work?

Battles are turn-based, one Sentinel against another, for up to 12 rounds. Each turn you pick a move: your Signature move, a Utility, a Basic attack or your Armament. Your Sentinel's class, element and stats (HP, ATK, DEF, SPD, FOC, CHG) decide how hard it hits and which status effects it lands, such as Burn, Frost, Shock or Bleed. Knock the other Sentinel out to win, or lead on HP when the rounds run out (damage dealt breaks a tie). Every ranked battle goes on both Sentinels' records.

What is the Arena Floor?

The Arena Floor is the instant-match queue. Step onto the Floor and any other player can take you on, and the battle starts the moment they hit FIGHT, with no waiting for an accept. You can also pick someone already waiting and fight them straight away.

How do Team Battles work?

Team Battles are 2v2: four Sentinels on two teams, best of three. The two bout winners meet in the decider. Create a room or join an open one; the fourth fighter to sit down starts the match.

How do challenges work?

You can challenge a specific Sentinel, or let CrypTok find an active opponent for you. The other owner has 24 hours to accept, and you are notified as soon as they do.

What is the h4ck0r breach?

About 1 in 8 battles breaches into the h4ck0r level: the arena turns to matrix rain, neither fighter gets a home-ground bonus, and every hit does double damage.

Can I watch Sentinel battles without owning one?

Yes. Anyone can watch replays of recent battles in the Arena with no account, and every ranked battle has its own shareable page with a full replay and a video.

Which blockchain are CrypTok Sentinels on? Can they be traded?

Sentinels are Solana NFTs built on the Metaplex standard in a verified CrypTok Sentinels collection. A claim is held by your verified wallet; minting it on-chain puts the NFT in your wallet, where it can be held or traded on Solana marketplaces with a 5% creator royalty. Live claim and mint counts are at cryptok.me/nfts/collection.

Do claimed Sentinels expire?

A claim that has not been minted on-chain returns to the pool one year after it was claimed, so unused Sentinels free up for new players. A minted Sentinel lives in its owner's wallet on-chain.

Is there a leaderboard?

Yes. Every ranked win and loss goes on your Sentinel's record along with its current and best win streak, and the Arena leaderboard ranks the top fighters.
