U4GM Diablo 4 Season 13 why Warlock took over

And after a few nights of Pit spam, I'm pretty much convinced Warlock isn't just flavor-of-the-week busted, it's the class carrying Season 13 right now. I swapped off Spiritborn thinking I'd hate it, then ended up fixing half my gear with Diablo 4 gold because RNG was being a clown, and the difference was instant once the build came together. People kept saying Paladin was gonna own Lord of Hatred endgame, but in my runs Warlock clears faster, bosses cleaner, and weirdly feels tankier while doing it.
What I've been running
I've been using Hellfire Apocalypse since patch 2.0.1, and yeah, I get why the meta flipped so hard. The build just does too much at once. Screen-wide trash clear, steady boss DPS, and enough sustain that you don't feel paper when Hordes get messy. Most guides talk like the damage is the whole story, but that ain't it. The real sauce is how Soul Shards feed everything. If you're not stacking cooldown reduction and resource gen early, the build feels mid and clunky. Once I hit that point, though, it started slapping. And the 15% damage reduction on Tortured Saws Demons being active? That buff is doing way more work than people admit.
Why people are dying on it
Look, I know a ton of players are copying the top ladder setup, but a lot of them are skipping the boring defensive stuff and then blaming the class. Bad call. In high-tier Infernal Hordes, if you aren't keeping Essence Shield up, you're trolling yourself. That barrier is 10% max life every time you consume a Soul Shard, and in my testing that's the difference between facetanking nonsense and getting deleted by random overlap. I saw someone say Warlock is squishy in hardcore, and maybe? I'm not 100% sure there yet because I haven't pushed HC far enough, but in softcore the deaths I see are almost always player greed, not the class failing.
The part that's actually broken
Thing is, Blazing Abyss is what pushes this over the line for me. A 25% damage multiplier stacking up to five times is already dumb, then you add the new Reckoning affixes with up to 40% more damage to Elites and stuff just melts. That's why Warlock feels better than old Spiritborn for me. Spiritborn was flashy. This is efficient. And with the Season 13 cube changes, layering powers on Warlock feels smoother than on Barb or Druid. Barb still seems better for pure HP cheese into one-shot boss mechanics, sure, and Shadowblight Necro still has niche value, but if we're talking one class that farms Torment, pushes Pit, and doesn't fall apart on bosses, it's Warlock by a mile.
Here's where I'm still unsure
Ngl, the one thing I still don't have a clean answer on is the handoff from leveling to endgame. Most people only post the finished setup, which is useless if your resource sustain isn't there yet. Also haven't really figured out whether Abaddon Summoner gets griefed by those Hatred Spores in the new jungle zones, though I did see weird summon behavior there. If you've been testing that, I'm curious. And if you're trying to shortcut the gear wall, I've had decent luck checking U4GM for currency and random upgrades when my drops were cursed, so that's been my fallback. Curious what everyone else thinks? Most people expected Paladin to be the safe pick in Season 13, but Warlock just took over once optimized Soul Shard setups and Hellfire Apocalypse started melting Pit runs. I've used U4GM at https://www.u4gm.com/diablo-4/gold when gold gets tight, and it lets me keep tweaking my build before the nerf talk gets real.
