Michael Glass: Thoughts for the mid watch::
There is a dangerous kind of drift that happens long before a ship ever leaves its course.
Thoughts for the mid watch::
There is a dangerous kind of drift that happens long before a ship ever leaves its course.
It happens in the mind.
You stop asking where you are headed.
You stop checking your bearings.
You become so busy managing the next wave that you forget the destination entirely.
And slowly…
reaction replaces intention.
The mid watch has a way of exposing that.
Because somewhere between midnight and dawn, when the noise finally fades, a human being is left alone with a simple question:
“Am I steering my life… or merely being carried by it?”
That question matters more than most people realize.
