“You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” — Marcus Aurelius
Tuesday morning.
The sea does not care that you are tired.
The engine still needs work.
The lines still need tending.
The weather still moves whether you are ready for it or not.
Life is much the same.
Most people spend enormous energy fighting reality instead of preparing themselves to meet it.
The Stoics taught something harder:
Accept the conditions.
Then go to work.
Not everything is in your control.
But your attitude is.
Your effort is.
Your discipline is.
Your willingness to stand back up and continue is.
That is where strength is forged.
Not in comfort.
Not in ease.
Not in perfect conditions.
Strength is built in rough seas…
one hard morning at a time.
