Most of us think our lives are shaped by the big decisions. The job we took. The place we moved. The person we married. And certainly, those matter. But more often, a life is shaped by smaller choices repeated over and over again. The choice to get up when the alarm sounds. The choice to keep a promise. The choice to do the work that needs doing. The choice to be kind when it would be easier not to be. Each choice is a vote. A vote for the kind of human being we are becoming. No single vote decides the outcome. But over time, they add up. A life well-lived is rarely built in grand moments of inspiration. It is built in ordinary moments of decision. This morning, you don’t need to decide the rest of your life. Just the next right thing. And then the one after that. Fair winds, my friends. — Captain Michael #LifeWellLived #Choice #Character #Stoicism #Discipline #CourseCorrections #MorningReflection #CaptainMichael
