Sometimes we have to travel the world just to see our "ordinary" life with new eyes.
Returning to the start doesn't mean you failed; it means you’re finally seeing the beauty that was there all along.
Sailors sometimes return to their land base. Maybe this is why.
When we did the van life, I enjoyed every bit of it. Finding campsites off the beaten path. Some a few people had ever even been to. Some were vacant vineyards allowing us there for the night off season.
Then we moved to the sailboats. 5 countries in 3 years, on 3 different sailboats. People, towns, adventures, are everywhere. And I’m longing for the next one ⛵️
I never believe I will return, or how others will choose to. Maybe that top paragraph is why.
