200 Years ago today, John Adams, the “voice” of the Declaration of Independence died, his last utterance “Thomas Jefferson still lives” How could he know that the author of one of the greatest documents ever conceived by the minds of men, had died 5 hrs earlier. Both men held on to see the 50th birthday of the nation they helped create, then passed on to meet their makers. I believe our founding was one of the greatest events in recorded history. These men took on the greatest global power the world had ever seen, the largest navy ever deployed was sent to their shores and up their rivers. Yet through Diplomacy, Guile, and raw Courage, they prevailed against what most believed to be insurmountable odds. Today the Government those men ushered in with the creation of this Declaration, is the single oldest functioning government on the planet. God bless America and God bless those badass men we call our Founding Fathers Happy 250th USA 🇺🇸
