The sun set this evening without asking whether we had finished our list. The tide came in without checking our progress. The pelicans made their final passes along the shoreline and called it a day. Nature seems remarkably comfortable with enough. Perhaps we could learn something from that. There will always be another project. Another responsibility. Another item waiting patiently for tomorrow. But this sunset only happens once. And sometimes the wisest thing a human being can do is stop counting what remains undone and be grateful for what this day already gave us. Good evening from our philosophical beach.
