Good morning.
The sea has a way of leaving its mark on a sailor.
Not every scar came from a storm.
Some came from learning.
Some from failure.
Some from simply staying at sea long enough.
Rumi once wrote,
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
When I was younger, I thought the goal was to avoid being wounded.
Now I wonder if the better goal is to let our wounds make us wiser instead of harder.
Most of us carry a few scars that no one else can see.
Perhaps today, instead of hiding them, we can quietly thank them for the lessons they brought.
Sometimes our greatest strength isn’t found in what we’ve escaped.
It’s found in what we’ve survived.
Good morning, my friends.
May today bring you a little more light than yesterday.
