The sun was up early today, but now the clouds are gathering and I can hear a little thunder somewhere beyond the islands.
It made me smile.
We spend so much of life hoping every day will be bright and cloudless.
But gardens need rain.
Harbors need fresh water.
And sometimes the air feels cleaner after the sky has had its say.
I’ve learned not to judge a day too quickly.
Some of the loveliest afternoons begin with dark clouds on the horizon.
