Good afternoon, friends.
I looked at the clock a few minutes ago and wondered how it had gotten so close to noon.
Then I thought about my morning.
A second cup of tea.
A little reading.
A conversation that lasted longer than expected.
Watching a boat make its way through the harbor.
Nothing particularly important.
And perhaps that’s the point.
I’ve spent enough years believing a good day needed something to show for itself.
These days, I’m learning that some hours are allowed to simply be pleasant.
They don’t need to be productive.
They don’t need to become a story.
They don’t even need to teach us anything.
Sometimes a morning well enjoyed is accomplishment enough.
I hope you’ve enjoyed a little bit of yours. 💛
