And maybe the best way to end the week is to stop talking about it.
The tide is going to turn whether I understand it or not.
The river knows where it is going without asking my advice.
Night will come without any help from me.
There is something wonderfully freeing in that.
Maybe wisdom isn’t learning how to control life.
Maybe it’s finally becoming quiet enough to notice that life has been moving along just fine without our supervision.
So tonight, no lesson.
Just sit for a while.
Let the river be the river.
And let yourself be part of it.
