Little movements your hands learned so well that they sometimes remember before you do.
There was a time when moments like that made me terribly sad.
They don’t so much anymore.
Tonight I simply put one glass back in the cupboard, took the other outside, and watched the evening settle over the harbor.
Missing someone and being content with the life you have aren’t opposites.
It took me a while to understand that.
Both can sit quietly beside each other.
And tonight, they seem to be getting along just fine. 💛
