Captain Michael: Good Thursday evening, my friends. Have you ever noticed how quickly we move the finish line? We get the thing we want

Good Thursday evening, my friends. Have you ever noticed how quickly we move the finish line? We get the thing we wanted… and almost immediately begin thinking about the next thing. Reach the goal. Set another one. Save the amount. Raise the target. Finish the project. Start planning the next. Arrive at the destination. Look toward another horizon. There’s nothing wrong with that. Moving forward is part of being alive. But somewhere between achievement and the next objective, there ought to be a little room for something else. Satisfaction. Not forever. Not complacency. Just a moment when we resist the urge to turn what we’ve accomplished into merely another stepping stone. A moment to look around and say: I wanted this. I worked for this. And now I’m here. Maybe that’s one of the reasons enough can be so difficult to recognize. We keep moving the marker before we ever reach it. Tonight, don’t move it. Whatever went right today — however small — let it be enough for a little while. No improvement required. No next step necessary. No need to turn it into anything else. Just enjoy arriving. Tomorrow there will be another horizon. It’ll still be there when we wake up. Fair winds and a peaceful evening, my friends. 🌙⚓ #Enough, #Satisfaction, #EnjoyTheMoment, #Contentment, #Perspective, #IntentionalLiving, #MindfulLiving, #Gratitude, #LifeLessons, #ThursdayEvening, #SailingLife, #FairWinds
