Captain Michael: We’ve spent nearly a week talking about Now. Which is a little funny when you think about it. Because Now doesn’t real

We’ve spent nearly a week talking about Now. Which is a little funny when you think about it. Because Now doesn’t really need explaining. The bird outside this morning doesn’t understand presence. It’s just singing. The rain doesn’t practice mindfulness. It falls. The dog doesn’t wake up wondering whether he’s sufficiently centered. He stretches, looks around, and gets on with being a dog. 😂 Meanwhile, we humans can turn being present into another project. Books. Meditation techniques. Retreats. Podcasts. Seven days of posts about Now. Guilty. 😂 And all of those things can point toward something useful. But eventually the pointing has to stop. Ram Dass gave us three words: Be Here Now. Not understand here now. Not analyze here now. Not become better at here now. Just… Be. Maybe that’s why this idea keeps appearing in different forms across centuries and traditions. The Taoists found it. The Stoics found it. Mystics found it. Sailors occasionally stumble into it when the wind is right and nobody needs anything fixed. The strange thing is, we never actually had to find it. We were standing in it the whole time. So this morning, I don’t have much advice. Drink the coffee. Listen to whatever is outside your window. Do the thing in front of you. Talk to the person beside you. And every once in a while… notice that you’re here. That might be enough. Good morning, friends. #Now, #BeHereNow, #RamDass, #Presence, #Taoism, #Stoicism, #LifeWellLived, #MorningThoughts, #CrypTok
