Good morning, my friends. ☀️
Well, I suppose it’s time I poked my head out and said hello.
I’ve been rather quiet lately.
Not that I’ve been doing anything particularly exciting.
A little reading. Some cooking. Visiting with friends. Keeping Second Wind reasonably presentable.
And occasionally sitting in the cockpit wondering what I came out there to do in the first place. 😊
Yesterday, I spent the better part of an afternoon reorganizing a locker.
I found three things I’d forgotten I owned, two things I’d been looking for since July, and something I couldn’t identify at all.
Naturally, I kept that last one.
It might be important.
I mentioned this to an old sailor friend, who informed me that if I hadn’t needed it in three years, I probably didn’t need it now.
I told him that was an interesting opinion coming from a man who still owns tools for equipment he hasn’t had aboard in twenty years.
He hasn’t answered me yet. 😂
Anyway, the kettle is on, the harbor is waking up, and I’m rather glad to be saying hello again.
I hope you’ve all been well.
And if anyone knows what a small brass fitting with two holes and a crooked little arm is supposed to do, you’re welcome to stop by.
I’ll put the kettle on.
Have a lovely Saturday, my friends. 💛
