Good Monday morning. Sometimes the day is not the problem. The problem is the day we expected to have. Before the first cup of coffee is finished, we have already written a quiet little script for how things should unfold. The work will cooperate. People will respond as expected. The weather will hold. Progress will be easy to recognize. Then reality misses its cue. We may still accomplish something worthwhile. We may enjoy an unexpected conversation, solve a different problem, or discover something we never thought to look for. But instead of noticing any of that, we compare the day we received with the day we imagined—and call the difference disappointment. Expectations can do that. They can make a good meal seem disappointing because it was not what we ordered. They can make a meaningful life feel inadequate because it does not resemble the one we pictured years ago. We can become so busy mourning the perfect day that never happened that we miss the good day happening right in front of us. This does not mean we stop setting goals or making plans. It means we loosen our grip on the script long enough to see what is actually here. The morning may not unfold the way you expected. Look again before you decide it has gone badly. #LifeBetweenPlans, #Expectations, #PayAttention, #LifeLessons, #CrypTok
