I saw The Whispers live in concert in 1991 at a concert hall in Youngstown, Ohio.
The place was packed, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the audience was almost entirely Black. Except for one girl who, by pure coincidence, ended up sitting right next to me.
Neither of us said a single word to the other throughout the evening. Not even a hello! 😂
Looking back, I find that part almost as amusing as the concert itself.
And of course, hearing classics like Rock Steady live made it a night to remember!
