Captain Michael Glass here. While I know a lot about sailing, I do know much about ukulele. Some years ago my wife bought for me a uke and I plinked at it from time to time, but never worked at it. in 2012, we found ourselves in Luperon, DR where a number of talented cruisers encouraged me to play and perform at a local open mic. I wasn't awful and the crowd seemed to enjoy it, but it was not good! A few days later, a good friend said, "Dude, you suck! Why do you do that?" My reply, "Because it scared the livin crap out of me and I needed the challenge." So, here we are. To challenge me and perhaps encourage you, I'll be offering up a variety of covers as I learn. I'll discuss the process I go through to learn new techniques and songs. Hopefully, they will improve!
