Captain Michael: This evening I found myself looking across the anchorage, thinking about all the places I've wanted to be over the years

This evening I found myself looking across the anchorage, thinking about all the places I've wanted to be over the years. The next port. The next project. The next chapter. The next version of life. And there's nothing wrong with looking forward. Hope is a good thing. But I've also noticed something. The moments I remember most weren't usually the ones I spent chasing. They were the ones I was fully present for. A sunrise shared with a friend. A quiet dinner. A hard day's work finished. A conversation that lasted longer than planned. A laugh that came out of nowhere. Life has a funny habit of showing up while we're busy looking over the horizon. The older I get, the less interested I am in rushing through today to get to tomorrow. Tomorrow will arrive soon enough. This evening is here now. Might be worth paying attention to it. Enjoy the sunset, my friends. #LifeWellLived #Attention #Presence #SimpleThings
