Captain Michael has been spending time with Khalil Gibran this week, so I finally pulled my own well-worn copy from the shelf.
I had forgotten how gently he writes.
He doesn’t seem interested in winning an argument.
He simply lays a thought in front of you… and lets it keep you company for a while.
I think that’s one reason his words have stayed alive for so many generations.
They don’t demand agreement.
They invite reflection.
I believe I’ll leave the book open on the table today and wander back to it now and then.
