I decided to take my time to write this
Because it's one of my best ways to express
How I feel and what I think about the world
As I am the one who expresses through poetry
As if I were writing a song about my feelings
Knowing how I truly feel from the inside now
After months of looking inside all of myself
And the meditation I took to look at it all
It feels as if I have something on the inside
To write a song but to express it as a poem
I will try to find my ground writing more
And avoid cursing, shaming, ruining others
I will also try to limit what I eat and drink
Because energy drinks create writer's block
And I've drank so much unhealthy drinks
That I feel like I have hindered my talents
Writing a poem or a song is like painting
I gotta focus on it, take a very long time
Find ways to wait for the next word I write
As each song I like passes by on the radio
Having the patience to write this isn't easy
But it's my way to create quality content
And the longer someone takes on one thing
The better quality it comes out for me
